Hunsrück & Morbach
In Morbach you will find four German supermarkets (ReWe, Aldi, Lidl and Wasgau ). In the center you will find the bakery (also at ReWe,Wasgau and Lidl) and a traditional butcher shop. In addition, various other shops, the pharmacy, a doctor, the tourist office of Morbach and a number of restaurants.
Morbach is an 8-minute drive from the villa.
Wineries
Along the Moselle you will find many wineries where you can taste the famous exceptional Moselle wines. You will always be welcomed in a friendly manner by the locals. Of course you will not be able to miss the many vineyards on the slopes of the Moselle valley.
Towns and villages on the Moselle
Also visit the many beautiful, romantic and cultural villages and towns on the Moselle. In this way you also get to know the history of this beautiful region. Did you know that the Romans introduced wineculture to this region? More about this can be found in Neumagen Drohn.

Outdoor activities
In the Moselle valley and the Hunsrück there is much to discover and you can enjoy many activities. Hiking, cycling, mountain biking, boat trips, kayaking, eso. The Moselle valley has so much to offer. Did you know that 25 km. from Morbach you can walk on the longest suspension bridge in Europe? De Geierlay, well worth a visit.
Winter sports
Skiing on the Erbeskopf. The Erbeskopf is the highest point of the Hunsrück where you can ski, snowboard and cross-country ski in the winter months. The Erbeskopf is a 15-minute drive from Villa Hunsrück.
Villa Hunsrück is closed from November 1 to April 28. You can make a reservation request for very special occasions. Our sister holiday home Villa Mosel is opened during that period. You can submit a booking request via our e-mail address and we can check availability for you. Villa Mosel also has been qualified by the Deutsche Tourist Verein with 5 stars and also qualifies as an official disabled holiday home.
Trier
Visit the old city of Trier. Drive there via the beautiful panoramic road along the Moselle with its fantastic views and the small villages and towns on the Moselle.
Discover the interesting history and culture of the area. The Romans had already named Trier as the capital of the northern part of the Roman Empire and introduced asparagus cultivation (!) and wineculture here.
Burg Eltz
Also worthwhile is a visit to one of the many castles and ruins, such as Burg Elzt. A castle from the 12th century that can still be visited in its original state. Visit the nearby "Geyser Anderach", the highest of its kind in the Vulcan Park of the Eiffel.
Idar Oberstein
Visit the semi-precious stone industry in Idar Oberstein. Then visit the gemstone museum or the old gemstone grinders.
Visit the old copper mine in Fischbach.
